After two seasons of hints the Peplum trend has finally hit the runways -- and the streets -- in full force! This ultra flattering style works on every body type (cinches waist, emphasizes hips...what more could you ask for?) and is so much fun to play with when styling. It can seem a little intimidating at first, or a little 17th century, but do it up with skinny jeans, leather leggings, a pencil skirt or even a full length slim maxi and voila! You've got a seriously sophisticated outfit on your hands.
You'll see below that there's a full range of volume, or poofiness if you will, so you can start subtle or just dive right in with a full on big statement.

Now let's talk our favorite part of the outfit: the shoes. This trend definitely carries an air of high end tailoring and sophistication -- not to say that you can't dress it down, you can, but a sleek footwear choice is the way to go. 
You have to be careful with volume when rocking a peplum -- if the outfit gets too poofy you'll end up looking like a bridesmaid gone terribly, terribly wrong. So keep the shoes chic and simple.
