Recently we put together a little thank you for all of our amazing Henry Kole girls in the form of free shoes -- our Insta-Pair contest got one lucky lady a pair of Jeffrey Campbells, and that lucky lady was Polli!

We actually found Kim K's get up suprisingly chic and adorable as she played mermaid to Kanye West's lucky sailor

And of course how could we leave out the queen of Halloween?! Heidi Klum and Halloween have had an ongoing love affair and even though she had to cancel her annual mega-bash due to hurricane conditions she still transformed herself -- this year into Cleopatra!

Frye is coming up on its 150th birthday -- over a century of classic American styles! The company was started as a small shop in Massachusetts by John A Frye and focused on supplying New England factory workers with sturdy, durable footwear. Moto-chic is all the rage this season and we've got a slew of motorcycle boots up on the site now from Ash, Jeffrey Campbell and Steve Madden. Even the daintiest of girls are dressing down this Fall and adding some distressed leather and studs into their look. And since motorcycles are really becoming such a huge trending element, we couldn't help but to share this campaign that we found today for the Progressive International Motorcycle Showgoing on in the US!

The advertising and branding firm i.d.e.a. combined nude bodies, paint and advanced yoga techniques to make this physical feat a reality. Three human motorcycles were created -- a Ducati sport bike, a KTM dirt bike and a Harley Davidson cruiser -- and each took well over 10 hours to complete. The humans involved are all either yoga masters, circus performers or dancers and were able to crazily contort themselves in order to replicate each and every last part of these machines.

Pretty incredible!

Die Antwoord, the eccentric over the top rave/rap duo from the dark depths of South Africa, are at it again. Pushing the envelope comes naturally to these two, and their newest music video for the infectious joint Fatty Boom Boom soars beyond next level -- and is bound to piss some major American artists off. Namely, Lady Gaga who stars in the show as a male impersonator dons her signature meat dress, gives birth to a Parktown Prawn and is ultimately devoured by a lion.

Essentially, she gets wrecked.

Back in March Gaga asked Die Antwoord to join her global tour as an opening act and the offer was clearly less than appealing. D.A. want no association with mainstream music -- a fact which they emphasize with a mural titled EVIL THING depicting a devil creature with the heads of artists like Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Gaga of course and others. The video is like all of their other work: a piece of highly creative conceptual imagery mixed with biting satire.

The song will be stuck in your head all day, guaranteed.

The late, great Alexander McQueen was renowned for his outlandish, often macbre designs. His runway shows were always extreme events, edging more on the side of conceptual art than ready to wear fashion -- and a major element of his collections were the shoes.

Over the top, meticulously designed works of (sometimes) wearable art, these shoes repesent an important facet of his legacy in the fashion world.

Perhaps his most iconic footwear style, the so-called Armadillo shoe was one of the major draws of his Spring/Summer 2010 collection. The 10 inch platform ranged in price from $3,900 to $10,000 and at the time of its release only 21 pairs were in existence. When asked why he created these massively constructed (and priced) shoes he explained, “The world needs fantasy, not reality. We have enough reality today.”

And of course Gaga got her hands on a pair!

Another hit from 2010, McQueen borrowed elements from a sci-fi, anatomical alien to create these incredible pumps.

For his Autumn/Winter 2009 collection, McQueen ignored the industry wide trend of taking things down a notch and instead went full force in the opposite direction with these insane ankle boots.

Alexander McQueen had been working the heel-less style long before it hit the mainstream, and his team continued with the construction after his death for the AW12 collection -- and this time they included feathers and furs galore!

Swedish design students Tove Jansson and Per Emanuelsson created these out-of-this-world heels in 2009 as their contribution to the Shoemania competition in Stockholm. The Chain Shoes won first prize, which they totally deserved.

Juxtaposing two opposing elements -- the idea of floating and the reality of heavy chains -- resulted in this incredible prototype.

These may have been created by Swedes but they are stealing the hearts of our HK NY office!

This unprecedented response has resulted in scores of "little monsters" posting images of their own insecurities. From tummy blubber to missing limbs, acne to surgery scars, people from all over the world are coming forward to live by Gaga's motto: BORN THIS WAY.

With the slew of teenage suicides in the US due to bullying, Gaga's providing of a safe haven to teens is inspiring. The entire project is an incredibly fascinating response to the kind of celebrity criticism that happens everyday. Gaga is often referred to as a poser -- borrowing looks and beats from other artists -- but today she created something that is entirely of her own.

Bravo Gaga, Bravo.

And, no matter how much weight she puts on she'll always be able to wear the insane shoes that we know and lover her for! Thank god for that!

We know you ladies love a good Jeffrey Campbell new arrival announcement -- and today we've got two for you! The brown distressed Damsel and black fringey Prance boot have granced our shop with their presence and we couldn't have asked for two better styles. Both are Fall closet necessities -- simple and versatile but not without their own unique features.

The distressed Damsel has an almost marblized effect across the leather, making the cross stitching up the back of the heel stand out and look that much more appropriate. And talk about height! These babies will have you walking sky high all day -- and night -- long.

The Prance boot is a more casual, comfortable style. The stacked wooden heel, while not as massive as the Damsel, still provides some serious extra centimeters and is thick enough to guarantee all day concrete stomping minus the pain. Christine Lai splits her time between running the ultra popular fashion blog Christeric and working with UNIF, the American vintage inspired, anything goes brand. She's had a hand in designing some of UNIF's most major styles -- like the fetish-esque uber-platforms the Hellbounds -- and also does work for Play Me Jeans.

It seems everything she touches gains cult following, but it's really no wonder when you consider the high quality and extreme creativity involved in her work. Phoebe Philo has managed to leave her mark big and black on the fashion industry. From Chloé to Celine she's responsible for an astounding amount of IT items -- and even credited with making Chloé cool again like it was in the '60 and '70s. The French born, British designer graduated from Central Saint Martins in London along with Stella McCartney -- and after graduation worked as her design assistant at the Gucci Group while she was in control of Chloé.

In 2001 Philo succeeded McCartney as Creative Director at Chloé where she proceeded to produce a slew of must-have items, including the Paddington bag which is arguably the most popular It handbag of all time. Now having taken the wheel at Celine, Philo designs one of the most anticipated collections currently on the runway.

Tyler, the Creator is the head honcho of Los Angeles based hip hop collective Odd Future, short for Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All or OFWGKTA.

The group consists of about 11 musical members but also includes some 50 others, mainly skateboarders and friends of the originators. Their style is predicted to start changing the hip hop realm due to the punk rock vibe of both their shows and lyrics, and in addition to all of that they came to fame without a major label behind them. Their music and Tyler's intentionally amateurish Photoshop projects created a distinct image for the group via their Tumblr and suddenly they were all over the internet.

So much so that Tyler was nominated for the MTV Video Music Award in 2011 for Best New Artist -- and to the surprise of many, he won. His career ballooned as a result, with high profile collaborations and even the opportunity to play the after party for Alexander Wang's SS11 Fashion Week show.

The group is fascinating in that they are entirely without any sort of PR. Meaning that, in interviews these kids act like the true skater punks they really are. There's no shiny gloss of Hollywood, no presentation of any kind of sugar coated image. The lack of self censorship has led to allegations of misogyny and homophobia but most of it boils down to shock value.

Tyler himself is actually a straight edge (no booze, no drugs) LA born skate obsessed young kid. Frequently mocking the hyper speed materialism of his contemporary rappers, within the overall feel of his work -- once you get past the shock attempts -- lies both smart satire and a dedication to his craft that can't be ignored.

Expect to see a lot more of this goofy kid's face.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Stockholm is blowing up with 30 brands participating and some 20 plus mega chic events in addition to the shows. There will be some old favorites: Cheap Monday, Tiger of Sweden, Filippa K, J. Lindeberg & Nhu Doung as well as some new attendees -- most notably respected couture designer Fadi el Khoury, who's apparently keeping his Spring collection tightly under wraps as we were unable to find any images just yet. Anticipation makes it all the more fun though!

Jeremy Scott is the Andy Warhol of runway. He creates wearable pop-art that it instantly recognizable to everyone, and it's almost impossible to not be carried away by the wave of nostalgia created by each of his collections -- even if it's for a decade you didn't live through. His work is always eagerly anticipated by both the industry and us fashion stalkers because we all know that he will present something energetic, vital and ultimately very entertaining. And his Fall 2012 RTW collection lived up to the hype. Scott presented a look back at the nineties -- a decade we all seem to be sartorially reliving -- and in doing so looked back at the seventies, as the decade had a huge influence on us back then.

A major recurring theme is old school internet -- emoticons, the beginning of digital imaging and really the fact that nothing ever goes away anymore. Style.com overheard Scott backstage comment, "Things don't ever go away now...deleting history isn't really possible." The article then concludes that everything is just "a Google search away." Part terrifying, part comforting but definitely a universal truth for our generation.

Now, go ahead and try to tell us this collection doesn't make you smile. Come on now, just try.

When the producers of Tron: Legacy got together to discuss who would compose the musical score for the film, they ultimately went with two Parisan robots: the electronic duo Daft Punk. A fantastic decision. Their work was nominated for the Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media -- an award they're no stranger to after winning Best Electronic/Dance Album for Alive 2007. The 2010 nomination came with good reason. The elaborate soundtrack, which took just about two years to complete, features an 85-piece orchestra on 24 tracks mixing classical and electronic elements.

Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter -- the men behind the masks who would rather be known as robots than mere mortals -- are working on a new album now and anticipation is high as we await their next foray into innovative synth-heavy, electro madness.

Stockholm Fashion Weeks öppningsdag var ju en fröjd för ögat!
Förutom att kolla in catwalken följer vi precis som många andra numera även (om inte ännu mer)
vad frontrowen och catwalkens åskådare sportar för looks (och i vårt fall SKOR.)
Första dagen bjöd på nästan enbart svart och inga shockerande heels vad våra ögon kunde se.

En typ av sko som var lite extra populär var denna ovan.

Vi älskar denna julstrumpa i äkta "Night Walk" anda. (Från Lady Gaga for Barneys)
